We provide all the equipment - hides, seats and decoys for your shooting experience and stay close to or with you all day, to ensure the best possible days shooting. We tend not to shoot our farms more than once every two weeks which allows the birds to be calm and settled which offers you the best chance of success on the day.
The Woodpigeon is an agricultural pest however its flying ability is only comparable to that of a Grouse, offering every shot in the book.
We do our utmost to provide a professional experience and align the success of the day with our attention to detail often moving the birds around to ensure a successful days shooting. We have had an exceptional season so far in and our guns have shot in excess of woodpigeons many of them getting their best day ever whist doing a really important job for the farmer in protecting his crops.

I have just returned from shooting Rock Pigeons Rockies in South Africa and have made arrangements with an outstanding Professional Hunter PH to provide Pigeon shooting of the highest quality.
Between mid January and April my Partners parties fired in excess of , cartridges at Rockies which are considered the hardest bird in the world to shoot. The shooting takes place on farms in Hampshire, Wiltshire and Berkshire and is mainly rolling agricultural downland surrounded by small woods and copse's.
Weather is more important when shooting pigeons as they don't like to fly in rain if they can help it so we always try and pick the best windy weather day. I will give you a Health and safety briefing and explain what you can and can't shoot. I will explain how a decoy pattern works and where I expect the birds to come, whether they are being flighted or decoyed. The shooting is a solitary affair and you will have lunch in the hide unless you specify otherwise. The shooting can continue until 3pm in the winter months and until 7pm in the summer months.
Each gun normally provides their own lunch and drinks alcohol free we will however spend the day checking you are ok and are enjoying the shooting and will move you if we need to to ensure a successful days shooting and that you get the most enjoyment from the day. I have shot Woodpigeons for 50 years I understand them and their movements.
I will do my best to ensure you have a great day however the Woodpigeons will do their very best to ensure you don't!! I am here to give max enjoyment to those guns who are time short due to pressure of work.

I use a fishing umbrella with an old net draped over it and my normal hide built around the front. All my gear is stored behind me out of the rain, and if it starts lashing it down I can move back under the brolly.
I have decoyed pigeons in light drizzle but they dont seem to play ball when its raining hard. The only way to find out, is to get out and have a go. I was meant to be out today but its hammering down so I will give it a miss, they dont seem to play ball in this weather.
The birds have to feed sometime and often on a rainy day there will be dry spells, or the rain will ease back a bit usually late afternoon. It will help if you can find a sheltered area in the lea of a wood, or tree line, the birds will take advantage of places like that. Go for it ive shot pigeons when its been throwing it down and like has been said get any clear spells and you could be in for some hot sport. This is good advice, I often shoot in the rain get some hits and misses, get out there and take a chance mate.
There is a massive diffrents in seeing birds feeding hammering a field in the pouring rain if there undisturbed. It not impossable or unheared of just not that common for a good bag to be shot in constant rain. Then again if there switch on hungray and the crop desirabilty of the crop is strong very little will put them off.
Rains holding off. I'm sat between 2 flight line with decoys out but can't get then to commit. I've shot 7 flying on the lines but nothing has showed any intrest on the decoys. Any ideas?
